Poway Dance Project holds annual clinic

The Poway Dance Project (PDP), Poway High School’s national award-winning dance team, held its annual Junior Titan Dance Clinic on Sept. 6. The clinic, which invites all kids from kindergarten to eighth grade, allows the children to learn choreography from the dance team and take the field to perform during the Poway High Football half-time show.

This year, the clinic was attended by 35 kids from all area Poway Unified School District (PUSD) schools.

“This was the best clinic I’ve been to. I can’t wait to be on the PDP team,” said clinic participant Madi Bunce, a seventh grader from Twin Peaks who has attended the Junior Titan Clinic for five years.

The Poway Dance Project is a national championship winning dance team that participates in competitions throughout California, Nevada and even Florida. During the competition season last year, the team won 15 national titles at the three national competitions they attended, more than any other PUSD school.
