Rain will remain for another day

Residents woke to raindrops falling on the roofs of their homes the morning of Wednesday, March 18 and, according to the U.S. National Weather Service, precipitation can be expected throughout the next day. While rain will continue, it is expected to slow during Wednesday’s afternoon hours.

Here is the forecast from the National Weather Service:

Tonight:
A chance of showers, mainly after 11 p.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 52. West wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Thursday:
Showers likely, mainly after 11 a.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 59. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Thursday night:
A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 51. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Friday:
Partly sunny, with a high near 63. Light and variable wind becoming west 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.
