A Spanish festival comes to Poway

The Poway Symphony Orchestra presents a concert of Spanish inspired music: A Spanish Festival. The concert is set for Sunday, March 22 at 4 p.m. in the Poway Center for the Performing Arts.

The brilliant rhapsody España will open the program. Delightful guitar sounds will combine with the orchestra in the Fantasia para un gentilhombre by Rodrigo, with soloist Fred Benedetti. The exciting Spanish Capriccio by Rimski Korsakov, in which all instrument sections will shine in a series of exuberant dances, will conclude the program. John LoPiccolo, music director, leads the orchestra.
