Crowds enjoy a fun Winter Festival

Throngs of people descended upon Poway Community Park to enjoy the City of Poway’s annual Winter Festival on Jan. 10 and 11.

The event offered a man-made snow play area, a snow hill for sledding, a synthetic skating rink, free crafts and activities for kids, pony rides, a photo booth and a bounce house. Enticing scents from food booths wafted through the air.

Crowds gathered to laugh and take photos as snow in the form of small, white bubbles fell from the sky at regular intervals during the event.

The atmosphere was festive and calm as visitors, especially children and families, traversed the scene to take in all that the festival had to offer.
