The Poway EagleThe Eagle is a community newspaper with a neighborhood website and social media network for Poway and communities in North San Diego County. The Eagle is independently owned and provides objective news reporting for the community's residents with professional journalism as well as crowd-sourced information from its readers.

EagleSD.com is an online news source emphasizing hyper-local coverage.

Send news and photos
The Eagle gladly accepts news tips, photos, videos and information from its readers. In fact, The Eagle was designed to revolve around crowdsourcing, news generated and contributed by its readers.

When sending items, please be sure to include at least a couple of sentences describing the activity. Photos must be in jpg format. Videos must be no more than 1 minute in length.

When sending news, please be sure the content is true and accurate, and that names are spelled correctly. Please include first and last names of those in your news contribution.

Whether sending a photo, video, an item for the community calendar or write-up about an event involving local residents, be sure to include your name and phone number. The Eagle is a local, family-owned, independent news organization. It is not affiliated with any political party or activist group. The Eagle strives to provide objective journalism and highlight local people and events. It is a hyper-local publication encouraging residents to support area merchants and help keep both the local economy and the local environment strong and healthy. It supports local schools and the maintenance of the North San Diego County lifestyle, a way of life that is safe, family friendly, a great place to raise kids and a place to enjoy all the freedoms and liberties of an American neighborhood. The Eagle is intended to be inclusive. Furthermore, The Eagle was designed so that the residents of North San Diego County can participate in the creation of its contents.

About the publishers
The publishers, John and Jacqueline Gregory, are a husband and wife team raising children in San Diego. They have been involved as media professionals in San Diego County for decades. The Eagle is their family business. Both publishers are open and available to communicate with the public. Feel free to contact them if you want them to speak to your club or organization.

John Gregory is the publisher, advertising manager and director of content for The Eagle. He has served as an editor of newspapers, magazines and websites; a book editor and a newspaper publisher since 1982. A community journalism specialist, he was the longtime editor-in-chief of national-award winning newspapers such as Beach & Bay Press and The Peninsula Beacon. He is the founder of both The Eagle and Scripps Ranch News. John played an important role in the launch of San Diego Downtown News, La Jolla Village News, The San Diego Union-Tribune's Today's Local News, and the San Diego Independent.

Jacqueline Gregory is the publisher and art director for Scripps Ranch News. She custom-built The Eagle website and admin center. She helped found both The Eagle and Scripps Ranch News.

Jacqueline has more than 22 years of experience as a graphic artist, digital media designer and e-commerce expert.

She is available for graphic design and web development work.
